Former vice president Koo, who received a master's degree in business administration from New York University after attending Ewha Girls' High School and Yonsei University, is a financial expert who served as the first female vice president of Kookmin Bank in 2004 after working for America Bank, Citibank, Kyobo Life, and Woori Bank. After that, he served as the Vice President of Korea Development Bank. He served as a member of the Korea Olympic Committee (KOC) and was nominated as the secretary-general.
